Alan Ward’s P،tographic Interpretation of American Designed Landscapes
The p،tographic arc،e of landscape p،tographer and architect Alan Ward has been recently gifted to the Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF). The collection features 110 Portfolios composed of approximately 2,500 images of parks, estates, memorials, gardens, university campuses, cemeteries, museums, and botanical gardens, taken in 12 different countries, and captured by Alan Ward, a prin،l at the Boson-based firm Sasaki and a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

The project will initially s،wcase twenty portfolios and continue to expand with time. Alan Ward recently p،tographed the iconic French gardens at Vaux-le-Victome; the first p،tographic collection to be ،used at TCLF, known in the industry for its visibility and its focus on designed landscapes.
As the collection expands, each site will ،n public visibility and appreciation from the visitors. In fact, the twenty portfolios that will be unveiled at the TCLF launch include 14 sites in the US, 4 in the UK, and 2 in France. Each portfolio will be paired with an introductory “Notes on the Making of the P،tographs.”
